  1. Learn to use dreamweaver and learn about php and css also pick up some good photoshop skills along the way
  2. that is depend the style of the products in your website and the content like: http://www.in-brands.com/Simplified/Main.asp
  3. Dreamweaver would be the easiest program to use for the beginners. Photoshop and Illustrator are a must for graphics perspective. However if you are serious about getting into web development learn ASP.NET as this is the direction where everything is heading nowdays.
  4. Just learn html, then use a word processor like notepad to make the website. There are plenty of online tutorials, use google to find one. PS: remember to save the file as "file name.html"
  5. Surf a lot. Look at the best and worst of sites. Be critical and take notes on layouts, design styles, what works and what doesn't. Use the view source button and see if there's any good tricks to pick up and note. You HAVE to know HTML and CSS. It would be good to study the various variations like XHTML etc. Knowing something about Javascript and Java, PHP, MySQL, ASP if you want to design more active sites. Talk with other webmasters & designers. Find forums and be active. Start as a hobby with no pressure and build up if you want it to be a career. Good luck.
  6. If you are a Graphic Designer then you're half way there, you don't need to learn Adobe Photoshop. You only need to learn Adobe Dreamweaver. Search the internet for free Dreamweaver tutorials and CSS (cascading style sheets) and PHP (dynamic web pages) or simply upload a HTML standard page. For more info about CSS visit: www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp www.csstutorial.net www.cssglobe.com www.cssbeauty.com -~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ For more info about PHP visit: www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp www.php.net/tut.php Good Luck!!!
  7. 1. Start with improving your knowledge of HTML - www.echoecho.com is a great place to start. 2. Get experience using Dreamweaver and Photoshop to begin learning about how a site works and the importance of images. 3. Forget the complex programming and research some of the license free content management systems available for you to use such as Xoops, Joomla and Wordpress. These negate the need for programming skills enabling you to focus on the designs. 4. Learn to use Dreamweaver to produce templates for your chosen system. 5. Launch dozens professional complex sites with your own stunning designs whilst other designers insist on getting to know PHP, .net and other languages! 6. Use your portfolio to get leads in to potential customers by sending them letters, emails and cold calling. Target businesses with poor websites.
